VISION

Taal and Tunes Dance is dedicated to sharing the joy of dance with everyone. Our mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals can learn, grow, and express themselves through the art of dance. As rightly put by our founder, Anisha- "At Taal and Tunes, we don’t just dance. We grow together, uplift one another, and create a space where everyone feels seen, inspired, and welcome."

Founder and Director
Anisha Viswanathan

Born out of a deep passion for dance and the need to find a creative home away from home, Taal and Tunes is more than just a dance school - it's a community. After completing her medical degree in  India and moving to the U.S. for her master’s, Anisha found a constant companion in dance.

From performing with premier dance academies in the U.S. to relocating to Canada, her search for a similar space here led to the birth of Taal and Tunes. What began as a personal journey has now grown into a vibrant, inclusive space where people from all walks of life come together, united by their shared love for dance.

Anisha has been trained in Bharatnatyam for 8 yrs and continues to learn Kathak and is exploring belly dance as a new dance form, in addition to Bollywood, semi-classical and folk genres. "I live, love and breathe Music - I love using the musicality and lyrics to express myself in dancing".
